- Photograph every page, including the back if it has writing
- Keep stamps, seals and any apostille page in the picture
- Make sure no edge or corner is cut off
- Use daylight and avoid shadows across the text
- Note the name spelling on your passport's data page
- Write down your deadline and who will receive the translation

Names Checked Against Your ID
Names follow the original document, and names in non-Latin scripts are checked against your passport spelling. This matters most when your translating passport stamps and ID pages and certificates go to the same office.
Dates And Calendars
Dates are checked digit by digit. Where the original uses a Hijri, Shamsi or other calendar, the Western date is added in brackets.
Numbers And Codes
Registration numbers, account numbers, amounts and grades are checked against the source. A single swapped digit can stop an application.
Stamps And Notes
Each stamp, seal, signature and margin note must be shown in the translation. Anything unreadable is marked as illegible rather than left out.
