Visa Routes

Certified Translation For UK Visa And Immigration Routes

Each route asks for different proof, but the rule on language is the same. Anything not in English needs a certified visa translation. These are the applications our translation for immigration work supports most.

  • Spouse And Partner Visas

Couples prove a real relationship with certificates, photos and messages. We usually begin with a marriage certificate translation for a partner visa, then add earlier divorce papers and chat evidence in date order.

  • Indefinite Leave To Remain

Settlement means showing years of life in the UK. For settlement visa translation we cover foreign payslips, tax letters, tenancy papers and absence records in full, so every date lines up with your timeline.

  • British Citizenship

Naturalisation and registration forms ask you to prove birth, name changes and family links. We translate old registers, margin notes and stamps, so nothing on the record is left unexplained.

  • Student And Graduate Visas

Course fees and living costs are often held in a parent's account abroad. A bank statement translation for visa funds shows each balance and date clearly, next to translated degrees and transcripts.

  • Skilled Worker And Care Roles

Some jobs need a criminal record certificate from every country where you have lived. Our overseas police certificate translation is laid out so the officer can match names, dates and the issuing force.

  • EU Settlement Scheme

Most settled and pre-settled status applications rely on ID and records, but family members often add birth or marriage certificates. Polish, Romanian or Bulgarian records are translated so names match the identity document you used.

  • Children And Dependants

Adding a child to a parent's visa means proving the family link and, sometimes, who holds parental responsibility. Birth records, custody orders and consent letters are translated as one set, with each child's name spelt consistently.

  • First British Passport

After naturalisation, HM Passport Office may ask for foreign birth or name change records again. The same certified format that worked for your citizenship file can be reused or refreshed for the passport form.

On Each Translation

Home Office Certified Translation Requirements Met On Every Page

UKVI guidance lists what a translation must show. Every page of certified translation for UK applicants that we send carries five items, set out below. Together they cover the UKVI certified translation requirements.

  1. 01Statement Of AccuracyA short signed sentence stating that the English version matches the original document fully and faithfully.
  2. 02Translator Name And SignatureThe full name of the translator or a company official, with a signature, exactly as the guidance asks.
  3. 03Date Of TranslationThe date the work was finished, so the reader can see it was prepared for this application.
  4. 04Contact DetailsOur phone number, email and postal address, so UKVI can check the translation with us directly.
  5. 05Reference Number And StampA unique reference ties the translation to our records. Our stamp is added too, although the guidance does not insist on one.

Which Level

UKVI Translation Requirements Compared Across Certification Levels

Most visa files need certified work only. Paying for a notary or apostille rarely helps a UK application. This table shows when each level of UKVI translation services fits, seen from the caseworker's desk.

Ordering

UKVI Certified Translation Order Process, Fully Online

Nothing needs posting and there is no office to visit. Our Home Office certified translation services run by email and WhatsApp. Here is the path from your first upload to a file ready for submission.

  1. 1

    Scan The Whole Bundle

Photograph every document, front and back. Include stamps, apostille pages and handwritten notes, because UKVI wants every submitted page rendered in English.

  2. 2

    Share Your Route And Date

Tell us the visa route and your appointment date. You get one fixed price for the whole file within the hour.

  3. 3

    Translation And Name Check

One translator works through the whole bundle. A second linguist then reads it again, matching each name, date and amount to your passport and the scans.

  4. 4

    Upload-Ready PDF

The signed PDF arrives by email, usually within 24 hours for short documents. A posted paper copy follows if you asked for one.

  • Handwriting And Old RecordsFaded registers, handwritten nikah forms and old stamps take longer to read and check than clean printed pages.
  • Paper Copy By PostYour upload-ready PDF costs nothing extra. If you also want a paper set posted for your own records, postage may be added.

Language Pairs

Immigration Translation Services In The Languages Visa Files Arrive In

Spouse and settlement files reach us from all over the world. An immigration translator from our team can work in more than 200 languages. These are the ones we see most often in visa bundles.

Shamsi and Hijri dates can be shown beside the Gregorian date, so your timeline is easy to follow.

  • Portuguese
  • Ukrainian
  • Chinese
  • Persian / Farsi
  • Bengali

Honest Handling

Home Office Translators In The UK Who Work To The Written Guidance

People often search for Home Office approved translation services or UKVI approved translators. No such list exists, and no firm can claim a place on one. What counts is a translation meeting the published guidance.

  • No False Badges

We never call ourselves Home Office approved, because that title does not exist. We show you exactly what is on the page instead, so you can check it yourself.

  • Names Match Your Passport

Caseworkers compare names across every document. Urdu, Arabic or Persian names are spelt the way your passport prints them. A Latin-script original that differs keeps its own spelling, with a translator's note joining it to your passport name.

  • Dates You Can Follow

Shamsi, Hijri and other calendar dates are shown with the Gregorian date beside them, so no false gaps appear in your history.

  • Private Family Paperwork

Marriage records, messages and bank statements are read by your translator and one checking colleague, plus the coordinator who answers your messages. Nothing is used for any other purpose.

One Price For Your Whole Visa Bundle

Upload everything at once, from certificates to chat screenshots. You get a single fixed quote within one hour, with a clear delivery time before you pay.

Common Doubts

Home Office Translation Answers On Approval, Pages And Appeals

Last-minute worries about pages, names and appeals come up a lot when a visa file is nearly ready. Find yours below. If it is missing, send your route on WhatsApp and a translator will answer.

Ask a different question
Is Your Company On An Official Home Office Translator List?
No, and nobody is. The Home Office does not keep a list of approved translators or companies. It asks for a translation showing accuracy, date, the translator's name, signature and contact details, and ours show all of these. The caseworker always makes the final decision.
Do I Need Every Page Translated, Or Only The Pages I Submit?
Each document you submit must be translated in full, including stamps and back pages. Papers you are not sending do not need translating. Tell us what goes in your bundle and we quote only for that.
Should My Visa Translation Be Notarised As Well?
Almost never for a UK application. UKVI asks for certified work, not a notary's seal. If a solicitor or another body tells you in writing that they want one, we can add a notary-sealed translation to the same order.
My Old Passport Has Years Of Travel Stamps. Do You Translate Those For ILR?
Yes. Our passport page translation for ILR covers each stamp and handwritten entry in the order it appears. For long travel histories we count every page first, then send one fixed price.
Can One Translated Marriage Certificate Be Used In Each Dependant's Application?
Yes. The same certified PDF can be uploaded to every linked application, so the translation is paid for once. If anyone also wants a signed paper copy, tell us and any postage is shown in the quote.
My Visa Was Refused And I Am Appealing. Can You Translate The New Evidence?
Yes. Appeal bundles often need new letters, statements and records in English quickly. Your adviser may also want our translated evidence for immigration appeals, which covers messages, witness statements and audio for the tribunal.
My Certificate Is Partly In English Already. Do I Still Need A Translation?
If every entry, stamp and note already appears in English, usually not. Where only the printed headings are bilingual and the entries are handwritten in another language, those entries need translating. Send a photo and we tell you before you pay.
