العربيةCivil Papers

Arabic To English Certified Translation Of Civil And Family Records

Family records make up most of our Arabic work, followed by licences and identity papers. Every translated Arabic certificate covers the whole page. Stamps, signatures and handwritten notes are never left out.

  • 01

    شهادة ميلاد

    Birth Extract With Parents' Names

Used to prove family links for visas and passports. Parents' full names, the registry office and the registration number are kept in order, with spellings taken from your passports.

  • 02

    عقد زواج

    Marriage Contract

Lists the couple, the witnesses, the guardian and often the dowry. Moroccan contracts drawn up by adouls are translated together with their notes and the judge's endorsement.

  • 03

    وثيقة طلاق

    Divorce Certificate

Whether the record shows a talaq, a khula or a court ruling, we keep the case number and type of divorce. Our talaq certificate translation explains each term once.

  • 04

    شهادة وفاة

Death Record For Claims And Estates

Families need these for refunds, insurance and estates. We translate the place, day and cause of death in plain, respectful English, keeping every registry stamp.

  • 05

    رخصة قيادة

    Arab Country Driving Licence

Egyptian, Gulf and North African licences show vehicle classes and the issuing traffic office. We translate both sides to mirror the card, for the DVLA, an insurer or a car hire desk.

  • 06

    بطاقة الهوية الوطنية

    National Identity Card

Often asked for in settlement applications. We copy the ID number digit by digit and translate the address, occupation and marital status fields exactly as printed.

  • 07

    شهادة الجنسية

    Nationality Certificate

Iraqi and other nationality certificates carry directorate names, register numbers and issue details. Each one is reproduced faithfully so a caseworker can compare it with your passport.

  • 08

    شهادة التخرج

    Graduation Certificate

Arab universities often issue this separately from the transcript. We translate both, keeping grade wording such as very good or excellent exactly as the original states it.

العربيةArabic Terms

Arabic Document Translation Terms From Contracts And Registries

Arabic official papers use titles that have no neat English match. These are the terms we see most, with the wording we use. A careful Arabic English translator explains them once, then stays consistent throughout.

العربية termIn EnglishGood to know
عقد زواجMarriage contractThe core marriage record across most Arabic-speaking countries.
عدولAdoulsTwo adouls witness and draft Moroccan marriage and property acts.
مأذونMa'zoun (marriage registrar)Licensed official who registers Muslim marriages and divorces in Egypt.
خلعKhulaA divorce sought by the wife, usually through a court.
الحالة المدنيةCivil statusName of the civil registry service in Morocco and Tunisia.
الرقم القوميNational numberEgypt's 14-digit personal number, copied digit by digit.
هـAH (Hijri year)Written after a Hijri year, as in 1445 هـ.
مAD (Gregorian year)Written after a Gregorian year, as in 2024 م.

Grandparents' Names On The Certificate Too?

We transliterate each name using the spelling in that person's passport. Where a grandparent has no passport, we use one standard spelling and keep it identical on every Arabic page.

العربيةCountry Styles

One Script, Many Registries: Arabic Translator UK Notes On Each Region

Arabic is written the same way everywhere, but every country words its records differently. A Moroccan contract looks nothing like an Iraqi one. Our Arabic language specialists know these local styles and spellings.

  • 01

    Morocco, Algeria And Tunisia

Maghreb records often mix Arabic and French on one page, so a name may already appear in French spelling. We translate both parts into one English text, using your passport spelling and noting any French form that differs.

  • 02

    Egypt And Sudan

Names here can run to five parts, each one a father's or grandfather's name. Sudanese certificates may be partly handwritten. We keep every part in order and mark any faint word as illegible.

  • 03

    Iraq, Syria And The Levant

Nationality certificates and civil records here show family register numbers and directorate names. We copy each number exactly, because caseworkers compare them against other papers in your file.

  • 04

    Saudi Arabia And The Gulf

Gulf papers often carry Hijri dates only. We keep the Hijri date as written and add the Gregorian date beside it, with a short note if the conversion could fall on two days.

British Papers Into Arabic For Embassies And Chambers Of Commerce

Some customers need British papers in Arabic for an embassy, a ministry or a business partner abroad. Each English into Arabic certified translation is signed and stamped. It can also be notarised and legalised afterwards.

  • EN العربية

    Egyptian Embassy Registrations

Parents registering a UK-born child with the Egyptian Embassy may need the full birth certificate in Arabic. We translate, sign and stamp it, and a scanned copy is enough to begin.

  • EN العربية

Powers Of Attorney For Syria And Beyond

Business papers usually pass through a notary, the FCDO, the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce and the embassy, in the order that embassy specifies. Our legalisation of translated documents for Arab embassies prepares the Arabic for each stamp.

  • EN العربية

Degrees For Work In The Gulf

Some Gulf employers want UK degree certificates in Arabic after legalisation. For countries outside the apostille system, such as the UAE, embassy attestation follows the FCDO step, and we translate every attached page so the set matches.

العربيةPrice Levels

Arabic Certificate Translation Fees At Four Fixed Levels

Arabic Translation Online From Upload To Signed PDF

Upload each page, front and back, plus the passport photo page of everyone named, so their English spellings match.

Official Arabic Translation In The UK: Common Ordering Doubts

Spellings, mixed French text and old handwriting cause most of the doubts we hear before an Arabic certificate translation is ordered. Short answers follow below. Still unsure about something? Our team answers WhatsApp messages quickly.

My Family Members' Passports Spell Our Surname Differently. Which Do You Follow?
Each person's name follows their own passport spelling, even inside one shared record. Where two spellings appear, a one-line remark from the translator explains that both belong to the same family, so a caseworker is not left guessing.
My Moroccan Or Tunisian Document Mixes Arabic And French. Is Each Language Charged Separately?
No. We translate both languages into one English document and price it by page, not by language. The French parts get the same care as the Arabic.
Can The Arabic Translation Appear On Your Company Letterhead For The DVLA?
Yes. Every translation is set out on our headed page with company name, address, contact details, stamp and signature. That is the format the DVLA and most UK offices expect.
Do I Need A Translator Sworn In Egypt, Morocco Or Iraq For UK Use?
No. Offices in Britain take a certified translation made here, signed by our translator and showing how to contact us. A translator sworn abroad is only needed if an office in that country asks for one.
My Sudanese Or Iraqi Certificate Is Handwritten And Faded. Is It Still Readable Enough?
In most cases we can. Send the sharpest scan you can, taken in daylight and without shadows. If a word is truly unreadable, we mark it as illegible rather than guess, which keeps the translation honest.
What Happens If A Hijri Date On My Arabic Document Could Match Two Gregorian Days?
We keep the Hijri date exactly as written and give the most likely Gregorian date. Where two days are possible, we add a brief note. If your passport shows the date, tell us so we can refer to it.
Will One Quote Cover Arabic Certificates For My Whole Family?
Yes. Send every certificate together and we quote for all pages at once. The same team works on the set, so surnames and fathers' names read identically across every document.
