NederlandsYour Reason

Flemish And Dutch Translation For UK Probate, Ofsted And Admissions

A probate registry wants heirs and shares. Ofsted wants dates and reference numbers. Pick your reason below to see how each Flemish or Dutch translation is shaped around the person who will actually read it.

Estates Handled By A Dutch Notary

A Dutch notary writes a verklaring van erfrecht to show who inherits. The probate registry in England and Wales needs it in English. Our probate translation for a Dutch estate keeps each heir, share and notary detail intact.

Usually sent

  • Verklaring van erfrecht

NederlandsDutch Records

Akten, Erfrecht Papers And VOG Checks In Dutch Document Translation

These seven papers make up most of our Dutch work. Our Netherlands document translation runs line by line, from a one-page bill to a forty-page notarial deed. Anything missing here? Upload it all the same.

  • 01

    Geboorteakte

    Gemeente Birth Record

Issued by the town hall where the birth was registered. We copy every name, date, place and official stamp, so it lines up with your passport for HMPO or UKVI.

  • 02

    Huwelijksakte

    Gemeente Marriage Record

The town hall record of a marriage. It is often sent with birth records for a spouse visa, a name change or a new marriage in the UK.

  • 03

    Overlijdensakte

Death Record For Banks And Probate

Needed to close bank accounts, claim pensions or start probate. We translate the cause and place of death only where the record actually shows them.

  • 04

    Verklaring van erfrecht

    Declaration Of Inheritance

A notary's statement naming the heirs and the executor. English solicitors use it to apply for a grant. Each clause keeps its number, so cross-references still work.

  • 05

    Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag

    Certificate Of Good Conduct

The Dutch conduct check, known as a VOG. It names the job it was issued for. We keep that wording, because UK employers read it closely.

  • 06

    Diploma en cijferlijst

    Diploma And Grade List

Dutch grades run from 1 to 10, with 5.5 as a usual pass. We keep the numbers as printed and add the scale once, so admissions staff read them correctly.

  • 07

    Medisch dossier

    Medical File

Hospital notes, scan reports and GP letters. Our private medical file translation can follow a signed NDA when an employer or production company needs one first.

NederlandsWhere It Is From

Netherlands Or Flanders: Certified Dutch Translation By Region

Dutch is written in four quite different paper systems. Official wording shifts between them, and a careless match causes confusion. A professional Dutch translator follows the source system and explains local terms once, in brackets.

  • 01

    The Netherlands

Civil records come from the gemeente, and many are now printouts from the BRP database. Notaries write wills and inheritance papers. We keep office names in Dutch with a short English meaning.

  • 02

    Flanders And Brussels

Belgian papers carry a Rijksregisternummer and some words not used in the Netherlands. Brussels records often print Dutch and French side by side. We translate the filled-in details once, not twice.

  • 03

    Suriname

Surinamese civil records are in Dutch, but some names and places follow local spelling. We keep the record's version and, if your passport differs, footnote the difference for the reader.

  • 04

    Aruba, Curaçao And Sint Maarten

Records from the Dutch Caribbean are mostly Dutch, with some Papiamento or English wording. Mixed parts are all translated, and we note where a term has no English match.

Dutch Translations Of English Contracts, Degrees And Prenups

Some customers move the other way, into the Netherlands or Belgium. Our Dutch translation agency covers personal and company papers. When a Dutch office wants extra proof, we can add notary and apostille steps.

  • EN Nederlands

    Prenuptial Agreements

A Dutch partner or notary may want your prenup in Dutch. Long agreements are translated in full, with clause numbers unchanged. We can arrange notarised translation for Dutch authorities as well.

  • EN Nederlands

    Service Contracts And Work Orders

Master agreements and statements of work can go into Dutch and German together. One translator keeps both versions in step, and our commercial contract translation team checks defined terms.

  • EN Nederlands

    British Degrees And Certificates

A Dutch employer or university may ask for your UK degree and transcript in Dutch. We keep module titles, classifications and dates clear, so the reader can compare them.

NederlandsFirst Orders

Certified Dutch Translator FAQs For First-Time Orders

Short, direct answers to what people ask in the minutes before ordering. Need a Dutch English translator for something unusual? Send the file on WhatsApp and we will answer within the hour.

My Surname Starts With Van Or De. Will It Match My Passport?
The name appears exactly as the Dutch record prints it, including small parts such as van, de or van der. If your passport sorts or spells it differently, send a copy, and the translator explains the difference in a footnote.
Do Dutch Dates And Month Names Change In The English Copy?
Yes. A date such as 2 maart 2019 becomes 2 March 2019. The day always stays before the month, so nothing can be misread.
Can You Sign An NDA Before I Send Dutch Medical Records?
Yes. Email us your NDA and we return it signed before any medical file arrives. From then on your records are opened by three people only: whoever translates, whoever checks, and the coordinator.
My Uittreksel BRP Is Several Years Old. Is An Older Copy Still Usable?
Yes, we translate it as issued. Some UK readers want a recent extract, so check their rules before ordering. A fresh BRP extract can usually be requested from the gemeente online.
Does A Belgian Document Need A Separate Quote For Its French Part?
No. A bilingual Belgian record is priced by page in one quote, whichever language each line uses. One English text covers both parts, as with any work our certificate translation experts do on a two-language source.
Can I Translate Only Some Pages Of A Long Dutch Notarial Deed?
Some readers accept extracts, but probate registries and solicitors often want the full deed. Ask them first. If only parts are needed, we mark clearly which pages are covered.
What If My Solicitor Asks For Changes To The Dutch Translation?
Send us their comments within 14 days of delivery. If our wording needs a fix, the corrected, re-signed copy costs nothing.
