FrançaisFrench Forms

Actes, Relevés And Diplômes: French Document Translation We Handle Most

French forms have their own names, and knowing them saves time. Below are the eight we handle most. Our translators of official certificates keep each French title in brackets, so each French document translation matches.

  • 01

    Acte de naissance

    Mairie Birth Entry

Issued by the mairie as a full copy or an extract. We translate parents' names, birth places and every later note written in the margin.

  • 02

    Acte de mariage

    Civil Marriage Record

Lists both spouses, the town hall and the date. Any marriage contract or later divorce note on the record is translated in full, not summarised.

  • 03

    Relevé de compte

    Monthly Account Statement

Monthly statements from French banks use short labels like VIR and PRLV. We spell out what each label means so a UK reader follows every payment.

  • 04

    Bulletin de salaire

    Payslip

French payslips show many social charges in small print. We keep the gross, net and deduction lines in the same order, so totals are easy to check.

  • 05

    Attestation de droits à conduire

    Driving Rights Certificate

This secure printout, or the longer relevé d'information intégral, lists your categories and dates. A translated French driving record for the DVLA supports a D1 exchange, as French licences are issued inside the EU.

  • 06

    Diplôme

    Grande École Or University Diploma

Engineering, bachelor and master diplomas from France or Belgium. We keep the official degree title in French beside the English, so assessors can look it up.

  • 07

    Extrait de casier judiciaire

    Casier Judiciaire Extract

The bulletin n°3 is often asked for by UK employers and visa teams. Our translated French criminal record extract shows the issue date and the 'néant' result clearly.

  • 08

    Ordonnance

    Prescription

A GP cannot repeat medicine they cannot read. We copy drug names and doses exactly, and mark any word in the doctor's handwriting that is hard to read.

FrançaisWhere French Is Used

From Brussels To Dakar: French Translator UK Help For Each Region

A record from Brussels does not look like one from Dakar. Each country words its forms in its own way. Our French translator team knows these layouts and keeps names consistent across your set.

  • 01

    France

Civil records come from the mairie, and many now arrive as secure PDFs. We translate the QR code wording and electronic seal note, so a UK reader knows the copy can be checked online.

  • 02

    Belgium And Switzerland

Belgian commune papers may switch between French and Dutch, and Swiss forms print labels in three languages. We tell you up front if a part in another language needs separate work.

  • 03

    North Africa

Papers from Morocco or Algeria are often in French, but names came first from Arabic. We keep the spelling the French record prints and, where your passport differs, explain the match in a brief translator's remark.

  • 04

    West And Central Africa

Birth records from Gabon, Cameroon or Senegal can be handwritten and stamped many times. We read faded ink with care and mark any word we cannot read, rather than guess.

Translation Into French For Consulates, Banks And Schools Abroad

Sometimes British papers must be read in French. A consulate, a Moroccan bank or a school in Lyon may ask. Our English to French translation follows the receiving office's rules, which we check first.

  • EN Français

    French Nationality Files

Applying through a French consulate means sending UK birth certificates and bills in French. We set each line out so the consular officer can match it to the English original.

  • EN Français

Company Papers For A Moroccan Bank

Articles of association, share registers and certificates of incorporation can need French copies to open an account. Notarisation and an apostille can be added when the bank asks.

  • EN Français

    Divorce Decrees For French Authorities

Our UK sworn level is a translator's sworn declaration for British courts, not a French court expert's traduction assermentée. Before payment, we look up what the French office accepts and tell you plainly which version we can supply.

FrançaisCheckout Doubts

Ordering Doubts About French Extracts, Spellings And Payslips

Last-minute doubts about French files tend to repeat, so the main ones are answered here. Still unsure about yours? Message us and a certified French translator gives a straight answer, usually within the hour.

My French Birth Certificate Is Only An Extract. Will It Work?
We can translate any version you hold. Some UK offices want both parents' names, which an extrait sans filiation leaves out. If yours lacks them, ask the mairie for a copie intégrale before you order.
My Name Comes From Arabic. Which Spelling Will The English Translation Use?
We copy each name exactly as the French document prints it, because that is the record being translated. If your passport spells it differently, such as Mohamed and Mohammed, a brief translator's remark ties the French spelling to the passport one. Include your passport's printed data page with the upload.
Can You Translate Only The First Page Of My French Phone Bill?
Yes. Mark the pages you need and we translate only those. Our statement says clearly that it covers selected pages, so the reader is not confused.
The French Notary Also Wants My English Will In French. Can You Do Both Directions?
Yes. We quote both directions together, and one translator keeps names, addresses and property details identical in each. Tell us which notary office will read the French version, so we can check its format before you pay.
My Payslips Run To Two Pages Each. How Is A Year Of Them Priced?
Every page that carries text is priced at the per-page rate, so twelve two-page payslips are quoted as 24 pages. Blank reverse sides cost nothing. You see the full figure in writing before paying.
The Mairie Added A Handwritten Note To My Livret De Famille. Is That Part Included?
Yes. Handwritten entries, such as a later birth or a divorce, are translated where they sit in the booklet. If a word is hard to read, we mark it clearly in the English instead of guessing.
Will You Translate The Name Of My French Grande École?
We keep the school's official French name and add a plain English description in brackets, such as engineering school. Institution names are never invented in English, so UK ENIC and employers can still look them up.
