People come to us at big moments: a new baby, a wedding, a move, a court date. Pick yours below. Each tab shows what a Spanish certified translation must include for that reader.

British Passports For Spanish-Born Children

HM Passport Office needs the Spanish birth record in English, with both surnames copied exactly as the record shows them. Each page leaves us signed, dated and stamped by our HMPO-ready translation team, with our contact details underneath.

EspañolSpanish Papers

From Escrituras To Antecedentes Penales: Spanish Document Translation By Type

These eight Spanish papers reach us most often. Each country names them a little differently, so we show the local title too. Our Spanish document translation keeps that title beside the English.

  • 01

    Acta de nacimiento

    Civil Registry Birth Record

Mexico and most of Latin America say acta, while Spain says certificado. Either way, we translate both surnames, parents' details and the issuing office.

  • 02

    Acta de matrimonio

    Marriage Record With Notes

Cuban, Dominican and Mexican marriage records often run to two pages with notes. A translated marriage certificate from Mexico or Cuba includes every one of those notes.

  • 03

    Sentencia de divorcio

    Divorce Judgment

Court rulings can be long and full of legal wording. We render them in plain, accurate English for the Home Office, a register office or a new marriage.

  • 04

    Historia clínica

    Medical History

Need to translate medical records from Spanish to English? Hospital files with diagnoses, scans and blank spaces keep their original layout, so a doctor finds each date and result quickly.

  • 05

    Certificado de antecedentes penales

    Criminal Record Certificate

Used by UK employers, HR teams and visa officers. We show the issuing ministry, the date and the result exactly as printed on the certificate.

  • 06

    Escritura pública

    Public Deed

Property transfers and company agreements signed before a notario. Solicitors use the English copy for conveyancing and anti-money-laundering checks on where the money came from.

  • 07

    Extracto bancario

    BBVA Or Santander Statement

Statements from Spanish and Latin American banks. Every balance, date and transfer reference is kept, so a lender can follow the money line by line.

  • 08

    Credencial para votar (INE)

    Mexican Voter ID Card

Mexico's INE card is the everyday photo ID. We translate both sides, including the CURP, address and validity year, and mark where the photo and hologram sit.

Spanish Language Translation Glossary Of Official Terms

EspañolCountries

Spanish To English Translation Across Spain And Latin America

Spanish is shared by more than twenty countries, but their paperwork is not. Stamps, codes and record names change at each border. Our Spanish to English translation team knows these differences and handles them calmly.

  • 01

    Spain

The Registro Civil issues full copies and multilingual extracts, and some now come as signed PDFs with a check code. That code appears in our English as well, letting a UK office verify the original.

  • 02

    Mexico

Actas printed online carry a verification code, and apostilles come from the state where the record is held, not from Mexico City. We translate the state seal and the code line by line.

  • 03

    Colombia, Peru And Argentina

Colombian birth records are often called Registro Civil de Nacimiento and may come from a notaría. Argentine and Peruvian papers may use partida. We keep each local name visible.

  • 04

    Cuba And The Dominican Republic

Records can be old, typed and stamped many times over. We read every seal, and where ink has faded we write illegible rather than invent a word.

EspañolHeading To Spain

Sworn Spanish Translation For Study Visas, Nomad Visas And Banks

Moving to Spain often means British papers in Spanish. Spanish consulates usually want a traducción jurada, made by a translator the Spanish Foreign Ministry has appointed. We provide that sworn Spanish translation.

  • EN Español

    Spanish Study Visa

Consulates usually want the ACRO certificate with an FCDO apostille, plus a traducción jurada. Our sworn translation for a Spanish study visa is signed by an appointed traductor jurado, and we can arrange the apostille too.

  • EN Español

    Digital Nomad Visa

Remote workers moving to Spain send police checks, contracts and bank letters. We translate the set together, so names and dates match across every page you submit.

  • EN Español

    Spanish Banks And Tax Offices

Company and VAT certificates for a Spanish bank often need a Hague stamp too. Our notary and apostille translation package handles all three steps in one order.

Before Paying: Questions On Surnames, Jurados And Faded Records

Ordering a translation brings up small, practical worries. Here are the ones Spanish speakers ask us most at checkout. For anything else, message a Spanish translator on WhatsApp and get a quick, honest reply.

My Spanish Certificate Shows Two Surnames But My Passport Shows One. How Is That Handled?
We translate the certificate exactly as written, with both surnames. Give us the name in your passport and the translator adds a brief note confirming that both forms belong to one person.
Can One Order Cover Records From Spain And Mexico Together?
Yes. Upload them together and a single fixed quote covers the lot. One translator handles the set, so a record called acta in one paper and certificado in another still lines up in English.
Does The Apostille Sheet On My Mexican Certificate Count As An Extra Page?
Yes. The apostille carries its own text, so it is priced as one more page. If it has not arrived yet, we can translate the certificate now and add the apostille page when you send it.
My Spanish Medical File Has Blank Pages. Will I Pay For Them?
Send the whole file and we count the pages with content before quoting. Blank pages are noted in the translation so the reader sees the full file was checked. Your quote shows the exact count before you pay.
Can You Post Signed Spanish Translations To My Home Address?
Yes. Ask for a paper copy when you order and we post it signed and stamped to any address you give. You still get the PDF by email straight away.
Do I Need A Traductor Jurado For A UK Office?
No, a UK office will not expect one. HM Passport Office and UKVI look for English that our translator has signed and dated, with a declaration that it is accurate. A traducción jurada matters when papers go to Spain, and our appointed traductores jurados can provide it.
My Old Cuban Record Is Typed And Partly Faded. Can It Still Be Translated?
Usually it can. Send the clearest scan you have; if any part looks unreadable, you hear about it before paying. Faded words are marked as illegible, never guessed.
